Playable Player for Silver Wave(s) - apn

Description

Akashi contributed as a sound designer for apn's game art/sound installation, Playable Player using the sounds of aiver's previous track, "silver wave".

Playable Player for silver wave(s)" is a "music player" that plays a single piece of music in an infinite number of patterns, created using the Unreal Engine 4 game engine.
In "Playable Player," the first-person player can walk freely in a limited three-dimensional space. The sound tracks used in aiver's song "silver wave" are scattered among the various objects in the three spaces (room, town, and forest), and Unreal Engine 4's simulation changes the way they reverberate and their volume according to the positional relationship between the player and the objects.
The Unreal Engine 4 simulation changes the way the sound reverberates and the volume of the sound depending on the position of the player and the object. More than half of the sound tracks increase in volume as the player looks toward the object, allowing the player to discover distant sounds and locate sound sources as if holding a directional microphone in one hand.
After 3 minutes and 5 seconds of playing time of the original "silver wave," the game is automatically forced to end, and a 3 minutes and 5 seconds mp3 file is generated on the desktop recording the sounds being played.
